All of our hand crafted wood components are made entirely from reclaimed wood sourced in NYC and upstate New York. Our designs are made from a part in the history of the greatest city in the world; they have seen the roofs of Manhattan lofts and the shores of the Atlantic, under the feet all those have visited the Coney Island Boardwalk. We’re giving a new life to these storied boards and passing them on to you, now, to see all the corners of the city and beyond.
Surname Cycling Goods Co. is based in New York City. They make these really elegant porteur boxes, wood fenders, wood handlebars, and more. The wood used to create these fine cycling goods is reclaimed and repurposed from wood found around the city. Surname says it best:
This fine company was discovered with their contribution to the latest Urban Tour Project bicycle built by Horse Cycles, also of New York. The Urban Tour Project is a production-style bicycle constructed using TIG welding instead of the more timely fillet- or lugged-construction. These bikes are quality built for commuting and light touring comfort in mind. Find out more on the website: www.urban-tour.com.
